"Refund turned into a headache"
I sent my order back thinking the refund would be straightforward, but it ended up being way more annoying than it needed to be. Every time I emailed, I’d get some short reply saying they were “looking into it” or that it would be handled “soon,” but nobody actually gave me a clear answer or timeline.
After a while, I was just tired of chasing them for my own money back. Maybe they’re fine when everything goes smoothly, but once there was an issue, it felt like a lot of vague promises and not much follow-through.

I was trying to set up or at least get help with a commercial account through Fire Hose Direct, the whole thing got confusing fast. I’d send a question, wait around, then get a reply that didn’t really answer what I asked. At one point I couldn’t even tell if we were still talking about my original request or something from days earlier.
It felt like I had to keep following up just to get basic details, and the timeline of who said what and when got kind of messy. Maybe they’re perfectly fine for a quick small order, but for business support it was more frustrating than helpful. I eventually gave up and started looking elsewhere.

I had to wait a little bit to get connected, but once I did, the tech support team was really helpful. They understood the issue quickly and walked me through the fix in a way that was easy to follow. Based on my experience, I’d definitely feel comfortable reaching out to them again.

"Felt overpriced for the quality"
I paid way more than I probably should have for this hose and the second I picked it up it just felt kind of flimsy and cheap, like one of those things you expect to be sturdy because of the price but then you use it and keep wondering why it cost that much in the first place. I wouldn’t buy it again.

I don’t know why the return process had to be so difficult. I emailed them, waited days for a response, and when they finally got back to me, the replies were short and didn’t really explain anything about the return label. I ended up just paying for the shipping myself to send it back. i wouldn’t order from them again.

"Tracking was actually a mess and my order showed up late"
I ordered from FireHoseDirect and the tracking was useless. It stayed on the same update for days, then suddenly changed without actually giving me any real info. I kept having to check it myself and still had no idea when the order was going to show up. Not a great experience, especially since I needed the items on time. I probably wouldn’t order from them again.

"Hose gave out right when we needed it"
We used it once and then it started leaking bad, and the water pressure just dropped off. Not really what you want when you're in the middle of using it... I thought it would hold up better, but yeah, it was frustrating.

I was able to find what I needed, so the site definitely works. That said, using it on my phone felt a little clunky at times. I think a lot of other customers would appreciate a smoother mobile experience too.

I’ve ordered from this brand before and usually have a good experience, so I was a little disappointed this time. The box showed up crushed, which made me nervous about what was inside. I still like the company, but the packaging definitely could’ve been better.

I had a frustrating experience with their communication. The emails were vague, and I kept getting short replies that didn’t really answer what I was asking. The timeline was confusing too, one message made it sound like things were moving along, then another made me think it hadn’t even started yet. I felt like I had to keep chasing them just to get basic info. I wouldn’t order from them again.

"Good couplings, umm, no real complaints"
I ordered a couple of hose couplings from firehosedirect.com, and they showed up in good condition with no damage or anything weird.
The threads were clean and they fit my hose just fine. Umm, I didn’t have to fight with them at all, and I haven’t noticed any leaks so far. The finish looked decent too, not cheap or rough like some others I’ve used.
I’m giving 4 stars mostly because the shipping felt a little slower than I expected, but the couplings themselves seem solid and do the job.

"Lead time was pretty much on track"
My order showed up close to the lead time they gave me, maybe a day or two off. Was it the end of the world? No, not really. But when you're trying to plan around a delivery, don't you kind of hope the timing is a little more exact? The product itself was fine, so no complaints there. I just wish the arrival window had been a bit more accurate.

The product descriptions were helpful overall, but I’ll admit I got a bit confused with some of the hose sizes and fittings. Maybe that’s partly on me for not knowing exactly what to look for, but I still had to go back and double-check a few things before I felt comfortable choosing. Seems like a decent product, I just wish a couple of the details were spelled out more clearly...

I don’t know, maybe it was just me, but I didn’t feel super comfortable ordering from this site. Some of the info felt a little unclear, and I couldn’t really tell who I was dealing with, which made me hesitate. Maybe other people had a better experience, but it just didn’t feel trustworthy enough to me. I’d rather order from somewhere that feels more upfront and easy to verify.
